I have a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Forestry. I have twenty-three (23) years of experience as a forester. This experience includes the purchase, management and appraisal of timberland and timber resources throughout West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Maryland. I have completed the required 187-hours of certified education needed to obtain my Certified General appraisers license. This certificate indicates that I have the completed the Valuation of Conservation Easements educational requirements and passed the examination.
I have testified as an expert witness in the Federal District Court in Elkins, WV. I have also testified as a witness in the Circuit Courts of Grant, Hampshire, Harrison and Randolph Counties of West Virginia.
I am a WV Certified General Appraiser #CG355; KY Certified General Appraiser #004474; WV Registered Professional Forester #292; and the West Virginia Forestry Association (Board of Directors 1993-1995,2003-2005 and Executive Committee 2005-2006). I served as a member of the Standards Committee for the West Virginia Real Estate Appraiser Board in 2008.
I worked as an Appraisers Apprentice for approximately four years (2002-2006). My supervisors included Larry Puccio (WVCG #001); Linda York (WVCG #014); Stephan A. Holmes (WVCG #019); and Thomas H. Lantz (WVCG #045). My experience includes timberland, agricultural, commercial property, of various types, industrial properties, eminent domain, rent studies and residential property appraisals.
